Navigational Hazard

Navigational hazard refers to any condition or object in the water or on land that poses a potential danger to a vessel's safe navigation. These hazards can include natural features such as rocks, reefs, sandbars, and shoals, as well as man-made structures like bridges, piers, and buoys. Other navigational hazards may include adverse weather conditions, such as high winds, heavy rain, fog, or ice, which can reduce visibility and make it difficult for a vessel to maintain its course. Navigational hazards can be identified and avoided through the use of navigational aids, such as charts, radar, and GPS, as well as by following established shipping lanes and regulations.
