Operating Conditions

Operating conditions refer to the various environmental and operational factors that affect the performance and safety of a vessel at sea. These conditions include but are not limited to weather, sea state, visibility, wind, currents, water depth, vessel speed, cargo weight and distribution, and crew experience and training. It is important for ship operators to carefully consider these factors when planning and executing a voyage to ensure the safety of the crew, cargo, and vessel. Failure to properly account for operating conditions can result in accidents, damage to the vessel, and loss of life.
