Person Overboard
Person Overboard (POB) is a term used in the maritime industry to describe a situation where a person has fallen off a vessel and is in the water. This is a serious emergency situation that requires immediate action to be taken by the crew of the vessel. The first step is to sound the alarm and alert the crew to the situation. The vessel should then be turned around and a search and rescue operation should be initiated.
