Flotation Devices

Flotation devices are equipment or devices designed to keep a person afloat in water. They are used for safety purposes in maritime activities such as swimming, boating, and water sports. Flotation devices can be classified into two types: personal flotation devices (PFDs) and throwable flotation devices. PFDs are worn by individuals and come in different types and sizes depending on the activity and the user's weight. Throwable flotation devices, on the other hand, are designed to be thrown to a person in distress and can be in the form of a ring buoy, a horseshoe buoy, or a throwable cushion. Flotation devices are essential in preventing drowning and ensuring the safety of individuals in water.
