Port Authorities

Port Authorities are government or quasi-governmental organizations responsible for the management and operation of ports and harbors. They are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of vessels, cargo, and passengers, as well as the efficient movement of goods and people in and out of the port. Port Authorities also oversee the maintenance and development of port infrastructure, including docks, wharves, and terminals. They may also be responsible for enforcing environmental regulations and managing the impact of port operations on the surrounding community. Port Authorities work closely with shipping lines, terminal operators, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation of the port.
