Railcar Ferry

A railcar ferry is a type of ship designed to transport railway vehicles, including locomotives, railroad cars, and train components, across water bodies. These ferries are equipped with railway tracks on their decks, allowing the loaded railway vehicles to be driven on and off the ship. Railcar ferries are commonly used to transport goods and passengers across water bodies where there are no bridges or tunnels, or where the distance is too great to travel by land. They are also used to transport railway vehicles between different countries or continents. Railcar ferries can be powered by diesel engines, steam turbines, or electric motors.
