ROVs

ROVs (Remotely Operated Vehicles) are underwater robots that are controlled by a human operator on the surface. They are connected to the operator via a tether that provides power and communication. ROVs are used for a variety of tasks in the maritime industry, including underwater inspections, maintenance, and repairs on offshore oil rigs, pipelines, and ship hulls. They are also used for scientific research, exploration, and surveying the ocean floor. ROVs are equipped with cameras, lights, and sensors that allow the operator to see and manipulate objects in the underwater environment. They are an important tool for the offshore industry, as they can perform tasks that would be dangerous or impossible for human divers.
