SARTs

SARTs (Search and Rescue Transponder) are devices used in maritime search and rescue operations to locate and rescue distressed vessels or individuals. When activated, SARTs emit a series of pulses that are detected by search and rescue (SAR) aircraft or vessels equipped with radar. The SART's signal provides rescuers with the location of the distressed vessel or individual, allowing them to quickly locate and provide assistance. SARTs are typically required on larger vessels and are an important component of any vessel's safety equipment.
