Seacocks
Seacocks are valves installed in the hull of a vessel below the waterline to control the flow of water into or out of the vessel. They are used to prevent flooding, control ballast, and allow for maintenance of below-waterline equipment. Seacocks can be made of various materials such as bronze, stainless steel, or plastic, and can be operated manually or electronically. Proper installation and maintenance of seacocks is crucial for the safety of the vessel and its crew.
