Shiplift

A shiplift is a platform used for lifting ships out of the water for maintenance, repair, or storage. It consists of a large structure with a platform that can be raised or lowered using hydraulic or mechanical systems. Shiplifts are commonly used in shipyards and naval bases to facilitate the maintenance and repair of ships. They are particularly useful for smaller vessels that can be lifted out of the water in a controlled manner, allowing for easy access to the hull and other parts of the ship. Shiplifts can also be used for storing ships out of the water, which can help to prevent damage from marine growth and other environmental factors.
