Shock Wave

In maritime context, a shock wave is a powerful and rapidly moving wave caused by an underwater explosion, impact, or other disturbance. Shock waves can cause significant damage to nearby ships, submarines, and other underwater structures. The intensity and range of a shock wave depend on the size and depth of the explosion or impact, as well as the properties of the surrounding water. Shock waves can also be generated by supersonic aircraft flying at low altitudes over water, which can cause damage to ships and other structures. In naval warfare, shock waves are a significant threat and are often used as a means of attacking enemy vessels.
