Shoreline Stabilization

Shoreline stabilization refers to the process of protecting the shoreline from erosion and other forms of damage caused by natural forces such as waves, tides, and storms. This can be achieved through various methods such as the construction of seawalls, breakwaters, groynes, and revetments. These structures are designed to absorb the energy of the waves and reduce their impact on the shoreline. Vegetation can also be used to stabilize the shoreline by providing a natural barrier against erosion. Shoreline stabilization is important for protecting coastal communities, infrastructure, and ecosystems from the damaging effects of erosion and sea level rise.
