Slop Chute

A slop chute is a device used on board ships to collect and dispose of waste water and other liquid wastes generated on board. It is a long trough or channel that runs along the side of the ship, usually located near the galley or mess hall. The slop chute is designed to collect waste water, food scraps, and other liquid waste materials, which are then discharged overboard. The slop chute is an important part of the ship's waste management system, helping to prevent pollution of the marine environment. It is also an important tool for maintaining hygiene and cleanliness on board ships.
