Sonar
Sonar is a technique that uses sound propagation (usually underwater) to navigate, communicate with or detect objects on or under the surface of the water, such as other vessels. It works by emitting sound pulses and measuring the time it takes for the echoes to return. This information can be used to determine the distance, size, shape, and speed of the object. Sonar is an essential tool for navigation, search and rescue operations, and military applications. It can also be used to study marine life and the ocean floor.
