Stop Water

Stop Water refers to the process of preventing water from entering a vessel or a specific area of a vessel. This can be achieved through various means such as closing watertight doors, hatches, and valves. Stop Water is a critical procedure in emergency situations such as flooding, fire, or when the vessel is under attack. It is also an important aspect of routine maintenance and repair work, where certain areas of the vessel need to be isolated from water to allow for safe and effective work to be carried out. Failure to properly execute Stop Water procedures can result in serious damage to the vessel, loss of cargo, and even loss of life.
