Stopper Knots

Stopper knots are knots tied at the end of a rope to prevent the rope from slipping through a block or a cleat. They are used to secure a line temporarily or permanently and to prevent the line from running out of control. Stopper knots are commonly used in sailing, fishing, and other maritime activities. The most common types of stopper knots are the figure-eight knot, the double overhand knot, and the bowline knot. Stopper knots are essential for safety and should be used whenever a line needs to be secured.
