Stowaway

A stowaway is a person who secretly boards a ship, aircraft, or other means of transportation without permission and stays on board in order to travel to a destination. Stowaways are considered illegal immigrants and can pose a security risk to the crew and the vessel. They can also cause damage to the ship's cargo and equipment. Stowaways are often discovered during routine inspections or when the ship reaches its destination. The captain has the authority to detain and hand over stowaways to the authorities. In some cases, stowaways may be returned to their country of origin or face legal consequences in the country where they were discovered.
