Straddle Carrier
A straddle carrier is a large piece of equipment used in ports and container yards to transport and stack ISO standard containers. It is a vehicle that straddles the container and lifts it up for transportation. Straddle carriers are capable of stacking containers up to four high and moving them short distances around the port or container yard. They are typically used for loading and unloading container ships, as well as for moving containers to and from storage areas. Straddle carriers are designed to operate in rough terrain and adverse weather conditions, making them a reliable and efficient tool for container handling operations.
