Swing Ship
A swing ship is a type of amusement ride that simulates the motion of a ship at sea. The ride consists of a large pendulum that swings back and forth, while the gondola at the end of the pendulum rotates freely. As the pendulum swings, the gondola moves in a circular motion, creating a sensation of weightlessness and centrifugal force. Swing ships are often found at amusement parks and carnivals, and are popular among thrill-seekers who enjoy the sensation of being tossed around. In maritime context, swing ship can also refer to a ship that is anchored in a tidal estuary and swings back and forth with the changing tides.
