Thruster
A thruster is a propulsive device that is used to provide lateral or directional movement to a ship. Thrusters are typically installed in the bow or stern of a vessel and can be fixed or retractable. They are used to improve the maneuverability of a ship in tight spaces, such as when docking or navigating through narrow channels. Thrusters can be powered by electric motors, hydraulic systems, or diesel engines, and can be controlled by a joystick or other control system. The size and power of a thruster depend on the size and type of the vessel, as well as the operating conditions.
