TMSA

Tanker Management and Self-Assessment (TMSA) is a tool developed by the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) to assess and improve tanker management practices. It provides a framework for tanker operators to measure their safety management systems against industry best practices and identify areas for improvement. The TMSA program consists of 12 elements, including management and leadership, recruitment and management of shore-based personnel, training and performance, and incident reporting and analysis. Tanker operators are encouraged to complete a self-assessment using the TMSA tool and share the results with their customers and stakeholders to demonstrate their commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
