Barges

Barges are flat-bottomed boats that are used to transport goods and materials on rivers and canals. They are typically unpowered and are either towed by a tugboat or pushed by a pushboat. Barges are commonly used to transport bulk materials such as coal, grain, and petroleum products, as well as oversized or overweight cargo that cannot be transported by road or rail. They are also used for construction projects, such as building bridges or offshore oil rigs. Barges come in a variety of sizes and designs, including dry bulk barges, liquid cargo barges, and deck barges.
