Bell Suction

Bell Suction is a method of removing water from a ship's bilge using a suction hose and a bell-shaped device. The bell-shaped device is lowered into the water and creates a vacuum, which draws the water up through the hose and out of the ship. This method is commonly used on small vessels where the bilge pump is not powerful enough to remove all the water. Bell Suction is also used in emergency situations where the bilge pump has failed or is unable to keep up with the amount of water entering the ship.
