Bilge Pump
A bilge pump is a pump used to remove water that has accumulated in the bilge of a ship. The bilge is the lowest compartment on a ship, where water collects and can cause damage or instability if not removed. Bilge pumps are typically electric or manual and can be portable or fixed. They are an essential safety feature on all vessels, as excess water in the bilge can lead to sinking or capsizing.
