Cyclodial Propulsion System
Cyclodial propulsion system is a type of marine propulsion system that uses a circular motion to generate thrust. The system consists of a circular duct that surrounds the propeller and rotates around it. The duct has a series of curved blades that are angled in such a way that they create a cyclonic flow around the propeller. This flow increases the efficiency of the propeller and generates additional thrust. The cyclodial propulsion system is commonly used in high-speed vessels such as fast ferries and naval ships.
