Gang Plank

A gang plank is a movable bridge used to embark and disembark people and goods from a ship to the shore or from one ship to another. It is typically made of wood or metal and is hinged at one end, allowing it to be raised and lowered as needed. The gang plank is an important piece of equipment for ships that are unable to dock at a pier or quay, and is often used in conjunction with small boats or tenders to transport people and cargo to and from shore. Safety is of utmost importance when using a gang plank, and it is essential that it be securely fastened to the ship and the shore to prevent accidents.
