Marine Railway

A marine railway is a type of boat lift that is used to haul boats out of the water for maintenance, repairs, or storage. It consists of a track that runs from the water's edge into the water, and a cradle or carriage that can be moved along the track. The cradle is designed to support the boat's hull and can be raised or lowered using a winch or other lifting device. Marine railways are commonly used in small boatyards, marinas, and other waterfront facilities where boats need to be lifted out of the water for short periods of time. They are particularly useful for boats that are too large or heavy to be lifted by hand, but too small to require a full-sized dry dock.
