Head Of Navigation
Head of Navigation refers to the farthest point on a navigable waterway that can be reached by a vessel. It is the point beyond which navigation is not possible due to natural or man-made obstructions such as rapids, waterfalls, dams, or shallow waters. The Head of Navigation is an important concept in maritime transportation as it determines the extent to which a waterway can be used for commercial purposes.
