Hopper Tank
A hopper tank is a type of cargo tank used for transporting dry bulk cargo such as grain, coal, or cement. It is designed with a sloping floor that allows the cargo to be easily unloaded through hatches located at the bottom of the tank. The cargo is discharged by gravity into a receiving pit or conveyor system. Hopper tanks are commonly used on bulk carriers, barges, and other vessels that transport large quantities of dry bulk cargo.
