IMSBC Code
The International Maritime Solid Bulk Cargoes (IMSBC) Code provides regulations and guidelines for the safe carriage of solid bulk cargoes by sea. The code covers the design and construction of cargo ships carrying solid bulk cargoes, the procedures for determining the properties of solid bulk cargoes, and the procedures for the safe loading, stowage, and unloading of solid bulk cargoes. The IMSBC Code is intended to ensure that solid bulk cargoes are carried safely and that the risk of cargo shift, liquefaction, and other hazards is minimized.
