Life-saving Equipment


Life-saving equipment refers to any equipment or device that is designed and used to save lives in emergency situations at sea. This includes but is not limited to lifeboats, life rafts, lifebuoys, lifejackets, immersion suits, distress flares, EPIRBs (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons), SARTs (Search and Rescue Transponders), and first aid kits. Life-saving equipment is required to be carried on board all vessels and must be properly maintained and inspected to ensure its effectiveness in an emergency. The use of life-saving equipment is critical in ensuring the safety of crew members and passengers in the event of an accident or emergency at sea.
