Navigation Hazard

Navigation hazard refers to any condition or object in the water that may pose a threat to the safety of a vessel or its passengers. Navigation hazards can include natural features such as rocks, reefs, sandbars, and shoals, as well as man-made objects such as buoys, piers, and other vessels. Hazards can also be caused by weather conditions such as fog, storms, and strong currents. Navigation hazards can be identified and avoided through the use of navigational aids such as charts, GPS, radar, and visual observations. It is the responsibility of the vessel's operator to be aware of potential hazards and take appropriate action to avoid them.
