Pair Masts

Pair masts refer to a type of sailing vessel that has two masts of equal height. The masts are typically located near the center of the ship and are used to support the sails. Pair masts were commonly used in the 19th century for both commercial and military purposes. They were known for their speed and maneuverability, making them ideal for trade and naval operations. Pair masts were often used in schooners, brigantines, and other types of sailing ships. Today, pair masts are still used in some traditional sailing vessels and are popular among sailing enthusiasts.
