Polar Coordinate
In maritime navigation, a polar coordinate is a system used to determine a vessel's position relative to a fixed point, such as the North Pole. It is based on the use of latitude and longitude coordinates, but instead of measuring distance in a straight line, it measures distance and direction from the fixed point.
