RNLI stands for Royal National Lifeboat Institution, which is a charity organization that provides 24/7 lifeboat search and rescue services, seasonal lifeguards, and flood rescue response in the coastal waters of the United Kingdom and Ireland. The RNLI operates over 238 lifeboat stations with more than 444 lifeboats, and it has saved over 142,700 lives since its establishment in 1824. The organization is funded by donations and legacies from the public, and it is staffed by over 35,000 volunteers who are trained to the highest standards to carry out rescue operations in the most challenging conditions.
