Search And Rescue Transponders

Search and Rescue Transponders (SARTs) are electronic devices that are used to locate and rescue distressed vessels or individuals at sea. When activated, SARTs emit a series of pulses that are detected by radar equipment on nearby vessels or aircraft. This allows rescuers to quickly locate the source of the distress signal and provide assistance. SARTs are typically used in conjunction with other emergency equipment, such as Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs) and Personal Locator Beacons (PLBs), to provide a comprehensive search and rescue capability.
