Spill Control

Spill control refers to the measures taken to prevent, contain, and clean up accidental or intentional spills of oil, chemicals, or other hazardous substances in the maritime environment. Spill control measures include the use of booms, absorbent materials, skimmers, and dispersants to contain and remove spilled substances from the water. In addition, spill response teams are trained to quickly respond to spills and minimize their impact on the environment and human health. Spill control is an important aspect of maritime safety and environmental protection, as spills can have devastating effects on marine ecosystems, wildlife, and local communities.
