Stern Ramp

A stern ramp is a large, movable platform located at the stern of a ship that can be lowered to allow cargo, vehicles, or personnel to be loaded or unloaded directly from the ship to a dock or another vessel. The ramp is typically hinged at the bottom and can be raised or lowered using hydraulic or electric power. Stern ramps are commonly used on roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) vessels, ferries, and military ships to facilitate the loading and unloading of vehicles and equipment. They are also used on some cruise ships to provide a platform for water sports and other recreational activities.
