Structural Components
Structural components refer to the essential elements that make up the physical framework of a vessel. These components include the hull, keel, bulkheads, decks, and superstructure. The hull is the main body of the vessel and is responsible for providing buoyancy and stability. The keel is a longitudinal beam that runs along the bottom of the hull and provides additional stability. Bulkheads are vertical partitions that divide the interior of the vessel into separate compartments. Decks are horizontal surfaces that provide access to different levels of the vessel. The superstructure is the part of the vessel that is above the main deck and includes the bridge, accommodation areas, and other facilities.
