Vessel Collisions

Vessel collisions occur when two or more vessels come into contact with each other, either accidentally or intentionally. Collisions can result in damage to the vessels involved, injuries or fatalities to crew members, and environmental damage such as oil spills. Collisions can occur due to a variety of factors, including human error, equipment failure, adverse weather conditions, and navigational hazards. To prevent collisions, vessels must follow established rules of the road, maintain a proper lookout, and use all available navigational aids. In the event of a collision, vessels must report the incident to the appropriate authorities and take immediate action to mitigate any damage or environmental impact.
