Waterspout

A waterspout is a weather phenomenon that occurs over a body of water, usually in the tropics or subtropics. It is a rotating column of air that forms over the surface of the water and extends upwards into the sky. Waterspouts are typically classified as either tornadic or fair weather. Tornadic waterspouts are associated with severe thunderstorms and are more dangerous, while fair weather waterspouts are generally weaker and less destructive. Waterspouts can pose a threat to ships and boats, as they can cause strong winds, high waves, and sudden changes in weather conditions.
