Backstroke

Backstroke is a swimming style in which the swimmer is on their back and swims with alternating arm movements and a flutter kick. The swimmer's face is always out of the water, and they use a constant flutter kick to propel themselves through the water. Backstroke is one of the four competitive swimming strokes, and is often used in freestyle relay events. It requires good upper body strength and flexibility, as well as strong core muscles to maintain a stable body position in the water. In open water swimming, backstroke can be a useful technique for conserving energy and maintaining a sense of direction.
