Bow Line

A bow line is a mooring line that is attached to the bow of a vessel and used to secure the boat to a dock or other stationary object. The bow line is typically one of the first lines to be secured when a vessel is docking or undocking. It is important to properly secure the bow line to prevent the boat from drifting away from the dock or into other vessels. The length and thickness of the bow line will depend on the size and weight of the vessel, as well as the strength of the current and wind conditions. In emergency situations, the bow line can also be used to tow the vessel to safety.
