Chain Locker

A chain locker is a compartment located at the bow of a ship where the anchor chain is stored. It is designed to keep the chain in place and prevent it from shifting during rough seas. The locker is usually made of steel and is divided into sections to accommodate the length of the chain. The chain locker is accessed through a hatch on the deck and is equipped with a drain to remove any water that may accumulate. It is important to keep the chain locker clean and well-maintained to prevent corrosion and ensure the safe operation of the anchor system.
