Gang Board

Gang board is a temporary bridge or platform used to connect a ship to a dock or another ship. It is used for the safe embarkation and disembarkation of personnel, as well as for loading and unloading cargo. Gang boards are typically made of wood, metal, or composite materials and can be adjusted to fit the height and angle of the ship's side. They are secured to the ship with ropes or chains and can be equipped with handrails and non-slip surfaces to ensure safety. Gang boards are an essential component of port operations and are used in a variety of maritime industries, including shipping, fishing, and offshore oil and gas.
