Helm Port

Helm Port refers to the left side of the ship's steering mechanism, which is used to control the direction of the vessel. The helm is the mechanism that controls the rudder, which in turn controls the direction of the ship. The helm port is located on the port side of the ship, which is the left side when facing the bow. The helm port is operated by the helmsman, who uses a wheel or a tiller to turn the rudder and steer the ship. The helm port is an important part of the ship's navigation system, and is used to maneuver the vessel in tight spaces, avoid obstacles, and maintain course in changing weather conditions.
