Rubber Gasket
A rubber gasket is a mechanical seal that fills the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression. In the maritime industry, rubber gaskets are commonly used in shipbuilding and repair for sealing various components such as doors, hatches, windows, and pipes. They are also used in marine engines and pumps to prevent fluid leakage and maintain pressure.
