Salvage Tug

A salvage tug is a specialized vessel designed to provide assistance to ships in distress or in need of salvage. These tugs are equipped with powerful engines, towing equipment, and firefighting capabilities. They are often called upon to tow disabled vessels to port, or to provide emergency assistance in the event of a collision or grounding. Salvage tugs are also used to contain oil spills and other environmental hazards. These vessels are crewed by experienced seafarers who are trained in salvage operations and emergency response.
