SATV

SATV stands for Seafarers' Annual Training Verification. It is a mandatory requirement for all seafarers to undergo annual training and verification of their competencies as per the STCW (Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers) convention. The SATV process involves a review of the seafarer's training records, onboard assessments, and practical demonstrations of their skills. The purpose of SATV is to ensure that seafarers maintain their knowledge and skills to perform their duties safely and efficiently. The verification is conducted by an approved training provider or the seafarer's employer. Failure to complete the SATV process may result in the seafarer's certification being suspended or revoked.
