Stern Anchor

A stern anchor is a secondary anchor that is used in addition to the primary anchor to provide extra holding power and stability to a vessel. It is typically deployed from the stern (rear) of the vessel and is used in situations where the primary anchor is not providing enough holding power, such as in strong currents or high winds. The stern anchor is attached to the vessel by a stern line and is typically smaller than the primary anchor. It is also used to keep the vessel from swinging or drifting in a particular direction. The stern anchor is an important safety feature that can help prevent a vessel from running aground or colliding with other vessels or objects.
